"The first time i heard KILTER i was nothing but overwhelmed by this massive energy these three guys can generate. i deeply enjoyed listening to this risky kind of instrumentation: plain drums, bass and bass saxophone. bang! a little later the band released their album AXIOM which was enriched by adding a few new musical colours thanks to the talent of some remarkable guests like extrem vocalist Andromeda Anarchia or the breathtaking guitar wizzard Per Nilsson. i was immediately inspired by this raw but also elegant and sophisticated production.
No question i had to pick some of these cool KILTER cherries from different AXIOM songs, deconstruct, re-harmonize and re-arrange them and melting some of the parts together into something new. then adding some rural shakers and a tiny bit of drums. (some of them i tracked in my disused swimming pool.) icing on the cake: little additional guitars, fretless bass, wurlitzer and a horn section, all mainly played by hand. then i had to condense this odd brew and evole it into AXIOM REVISITED. but i always kept in mind where this came from. my intention was to create a short but ruthless soundtrack of unpredictable hyperactivism paired with some peculiar sonic landscapes close to the void. but the most important thing for me: the backbone has to groove, despite the fact this auditive rollercoaster trip is quite weird but should also induce fun to the listener. at least i hope it does..."
